Natural Resources Management
North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) is a livelihood and rural development project aimed to transform the lives of the poor and marginalized tribal families in North East (NE) India.
CCI is one of the Partner NGO (PNGO) for implementing NERCOMRP project in Churachandpur District since April 2016. CCI works in three blocks Thanlon, Samulamlan and Henglep Block which is divided into four clusters: 1) Tuiliam Cluster (earlier grouped as Bukpi), 2) Loktak Project Cluster (earlier grouped as Aimol), 3) North Thangting Cluster (earlier grouped as Nalon), and 4) Mualnuam Cluster covering 28 villages with 1628 households. The population covered is 8944. It has 101 SHGs and 34 NARMG (Village level Natural Resource Management Committee).
NERCORMP is a joint developmental initiative of the North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Springshed Management
National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) selected CCI to implement its pilot Springshed Watershed based management project in the hill areas of Manipur, two villages – G Bualjang and Kangpap are selected for this project.
Entry Point Activities are already done in the project villages. DPR is already submitted. Objective of the project is to revive spring and improve facilities for agriculture and irrigation, reforestation and efficient use of natural resource. The project will be extended to another Village in the subsequent year.
