A planning and consultation meeting with heads of partner schools was held on April 14, 2025, at the Malsawm Ability Resource Centre (MARC), Pearsonmun, to strengthen efforts toward inclusive education in mainstream schools.
School leaders from six partner schools — including three government and three private institutions — participated in the session, focusing on collaborative strategies to create more inclusive learning environments. Discussions included plans for teacher training up to Class V, exposure visits to model inclusive schools, and strengthening inclusive classroom practices to ensure that no child is left behind.
Led by Centre for Community Initiative (CCI), the initiative aligns with the principles of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016, and the National Education Policy (NEP), which promote equitable and inclusive education for all learners.
The meeting reflected the collective commitment of school leaders toward building accessible, supportive, and inclusive educational spaces despite existing challenges.
