Livelihood & Sustainable Development

CCI works with marginalized communities across the district through inclusive and community-based initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, livelihood development, and support for parents of children with special needs. The organization also partners with rural communities in Churachandpur to strengthen sustainable livelihoods while promoting the protection of natural resources.

Promoting sustainable livelihoods through initiatives such as piggery, mushroom cultivation, tailoring, handloom, pickle making, and petty shops for parents of children with special needs, marginalized communities, COVID-affected families, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

CCI has also undertaken initiatives such as Springshed-Based Watershed Project and Tribal Development Projects to promote access to clean water and sustainable livelihoods for rural communities.

These initiatives continue to strengthen rural communities by promoting sustainable livelihoods, water conservation, women’s empowerment, health, and skill development. Despite various challenges, the projects have contributed to improved water security, stronger community resilience, and more inclusive and sustainable growth.
