"Started in 2002 and restructured in 2007, the Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) is a non-governmental, apolitical, and not-for-profit organization founded to deal with pressing societal issues and ultimately establish a better society through community initiative and participation for the welfare of society in general and to persons with disabilities (PwDs) in particular.
The first phase of our 4-module Inclusive Education Training commenced today with the teachers of Rayburn High School, New Lamka.
The session introduced foundational concepts of inclusive education, along with an overview of different types of disabilities and their implications within the classroom setting. It was encouraging to see active participation, thoughtful engagement, and meaningful discussions among the teachers throughout the session.
This training is part of a structured 16-hour program designed to strengthen inclusive practices and support the development of more accessible and equitable learning environments.
“Open Door – Friends of TMI Day,” welcoming a vibrant gathering of friends, well-wishers, and supporters to our campus in Pearsonmun. The event, held in loving memory of Malsawm, created a meaningful space for connection, reflection, and shared belonging.
Rather than formal proceedings, the day focused on togetherness. Visitors engaged warmly with our community, sharing conversations, sitting side by side in fellowship, and taking part in quiet moments of prayer and tea. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of inclusive learning and community that defines our work.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us, storytellers, creators, and supporters alike. Your presence and encouragement continue to strengthen the journey of Team CCI and help carry our story forward.

CCI team came together for an impactful in-house training session focused on growth, alignment, and financial awareness.
The session began with our Director, Pu Pauzagin Tonsing, who reoriented the team with a clear and inspiring overview of CCI’s vision, mission, and core policies—strengthening our shared purpose and direction.
We then took an important step forward in financial literacy through an engaging Insurance Literacy workshop conducted by experts from the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). The session helped us better understand how to safeguard our future and make informed financial decisions.
Building knowledge today means building a stronger, more secure tomorrow.
