Staff members of The Malsawm Initiative (TMI) participated in an exposure visit to Shillong, Meghalaya from March 8–16, 2025, aimed at strengthening knowledge and understanding of inclusive education, vocational training, and sustainability practices.
During the visit, the team explored various institutions and learning environments, including Jyoti Sroat School and Ferrando Speech & Hearing Centre, where they observed inclusive teaching methods, sensory therapy practices, digital literacy initiatives, vocational training programs, therapy facilities, and accessible learning spaces.
The exposure visit provided valuable opportunities for professional learning, knowledge exchange, and reflection on innovative approaches to supporting children with diverse needs. Beyond institutional visits, the experience also strengthened teamwork, adaptability, and appreciation for diversity among staff members.
