A disability awareness session was conducted for the students of Lamka Medical College by Ms. Hoikim, Community Outreach Coordinator, and Mr. Paul, Coordinator (Advocacy), Centre for Community Initiative (CCI).
The session introduced students to the 21 recognized types of disabilities and highlighted the importance of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016. The interactive discussion aimed to promote understanding, inclusion, and sensitivity toward persons with disabilities among future healthcare professionals.
