A graduate of his hometown college of Churachandpur, Manipur, Suanthang has a D. Ed Spl.Edu (Deafblindness) from Helen Keller Institute for Deaf and Deafblind, Mumbai. Highly dedicated and naturally good with children, he joined TMI in 2015 and has shown high energy in working with active children and motivating the less active ones. His great sense of humor is in his favor as well when working with children and among his colleagues too.
As a Coordinator of the Early Intervention Unit, MARC, he is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of EI Pearsonmun and EI Hmar Veng, functional assessments, development of IEPs, etc.
As a family man dedicated to his wife and two wonderful daughters, he spends as much time as possible with them and occasionally loves to play football.
