
A training session on the Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism (ISAA) was successfully conducted at the Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) for 16 psychology students from Rayburn College.
The session aimed to build foundational knowledge on autism assessment and strengthen students’ practical understanding of administering and interpreting the ISAA assessment tool.
Participants were introduced to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the various ISAA domains, scoring patterns, observation techniques, caregiver interviews, and the importance of maintaining objectivity during assessments. The students actively engaged in discussions and activities throughout the session, gaining valuable insights into developmental and behavioural assessment practices.
The training concluded as an informative and enriching capacity-building initiative, equipping future psychology professionals with essential knowledge and skills in autism assessment and support.
