
Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) and Airport Authority of India (AAI) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 18, 2025, for the construction of 18 rooms at The Malsawm Initiative (TMI) School Building.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the DC Conference Hall, Churachandpur, in the presence of Shri Dharun Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, along with members of the CCI Managing Board.
The construction project will be undertaken by Tunnu Engineering & Consultancy. During the program, presentations were delivered by Pu Pauzagin Tonsing, Director of CCI, and Pu Thangmuansang Guite, Director of Tunnu Engineering & Consultancy, highlighting the vision and significance of the project.
Following the ceremony, AAI team visited Malsawm Ability Resource Centre (MARC), Pearsonmun, Lamka, where students warmly welcomed them with cultural performances, including a special song by Khumlalven of Class X and a bamboo dance performed by hearing-impaired students.
The initiative is being supported through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the Airport Authority of India, reflecting a strong commitment toward inclusive education and empowerment of children with special needs.
CCI extends heartfelt gratitude to the Airport Authority of India, Shri Dharun Kumar, IAS, Tunnu Engineering & Consultancy, and all supporters and well-wishers who continue to stand alongside the organization in strengthening opportunities for children with disabilities.
The project marks an important step toward building not only educational infrastructure, but also a future rooted in inclusion, dignity, opportunity, and hope.
