Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) organized a two-day training on Disability Detection in Newborns and Early Identification on 20–21 August 2026 at the Child Development Centre (CDC), Elim Veng, New Lamka.
The training was facilitated by Dr. Suanlianmang Phaipi, MD (Paediatrics), and focused on strengthening knowledge and skills in the early detection and identification of developmental disabilities among newborns and young children. The sessions emphasized the importance of timely identification, appropriate referral, and early intervention to support better developmental outcomes for children.
The programme was organized by CCI in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Churachandpur, and supported by the Azim Premji Foundation.
Through capacity-building initiatives like this, CCI continues to strengthen early intervention systems and promote timely, informed care for children and families.
