On February 19, 2026, a total of 16 wheelchairs were provided to The Malsawm Initiative (TMI) under Op Sadhbhavna by the 36 Assam Rifles under 27 Sector Headquarters, in continued support of children with disabilities.
The distribution ceremony was held in the presence of Brig. S. Prashanth, Commander of 27 Sector, Col. R. Naveen Kumar, Commandant of 36 Assam Rifles, and representatives of the Zomi Student Federation.
The wheelchairs are expected to significantly improve mobility, accessibility, and participation for students with disabilities, further strengthening an inclusive learning environment at TMI.
The occasion also included a shared lunch for students and staff, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere for everyone present.
