Parent Orientation Program at The Malsawm Initiative | January 30, 2024

A Parent Orientation Program for students of The Malsawm Initiative was conducted at the Malsawm Ability Resource Centre (MARC), Pearsonmun, Lamka.

The session provided an opportunity for parents to engage, learn, and gain encouragement through shared experiences and discussions on supporting children with disabilities. A special sharing session was delivered by Ms. Mercy, a PhD scholar and person with disability, who spoke about her journey and experiences. Parents were also inspired by a motivational address from her mother, Mrs. Chawngrotling, highlighting the importance of support, encouragement, and perseverance in the lives of children with disabilities.

The orientation served as a meaningful platform to strengthen collaboration between parents, educators, and the community in promoting inclusive growth and development for every child.
