CCI integrates disability inclusion into disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. DiDRR initiatives include inclusive disaster planning, accessibility-focused training, early warning systems, and inclusive evacuation and relief mechanisms.
Under its Disaster Management Programme, CCI supported 185 internally displaced persons caused by the May 2023 mayhem of Manipur, partnered with coaching centres for youth skill development, and established Mini Libraries in five relief camps—restoring learning, hope, and normalcy for displaced children.
